TP Mentorship for year 3 (2011-2012)

The 6-week Teaching Practice of Year 3 students from ELED and CLED has just completed. Students came back to campus on 5 May 2012 for mentorship meeting. The TP mentorship scheme is designed to provide support and professional advice to Language Education students during their Teaching Practice in an e-environment, available at http://plate.fed.cuhk.edu.hk.  Fifteen experienced frontline teachers have regular meetings with their group in the blog-based Teaching Practice platform during the teaching practice period. They read lesson plans, respond to comments, provide guidance on reflections, stimulate discussion, conduct collaborative analysis of recorded lesson, and offer pastoral caring.

Great thanks to all mentors!

Two Drama Workshops were held on 18 February 2012 and 25 February 2012. A total of 40 participants took part. Our LED graduate, Mr. Alex Shung, led the participants through the introduction of drama conventions, process drama, and drama in ELT. The workshops were very well-received by the participants.
